Gangster films and war movies gave the Thompson name a lasting spot in popular memory. This is a new semi-automatic rifle in the Thompson M1 carbine pattern, chambered in .45 ACP, with a 16.5-inch barrel, a 10-round magazine, and a blued finish with a wood stock.

What you get is a modern rifle with the look of a classic. It fires only in semi-automatic mode, and the longer barrel gives you more velocity than a short pistol barrel. A .45 ACP carbine is a pleasant range companion. Recoil is mild, ammunition is easy to find, and the heavy bullet drops steel plates with a satisfying ring.

Pistol-caliber carbines suit shooters who want a gun that is easy to manage. The wood stock gives a traditional feel, and the rifle holds steady from a bench or off a sling. It also pairs well with a .45 ACP handgun if you want one cartridge for both.

When it arrives, inspect the finish, the stock fit, and the sights. Check that the magazine seats fully and feeds from a clean chamber. The rifle ships to your local FFL dealer, where the background check is completed before you take it home.
