SPRINGFIELD ARMORY Model 1903 Mark 1

In 1920 the Springfield Armory was still turning out 1903 rifles, and this one carries that date. It is a Model 1903 Mark I, the Mark I variant, and it is chambered in .30-06. It has a 22.5-inch barrel and a five-round magazine.

The seller is direct about the condition. The rifle does not have its original stock. The one attached is a blonde wood with several scratches and dings. A Weaver V7 optic sits on the receiver. That is a rifle that has been used and modified over time, and it is priced as a collector piece with caveats.

Springfield 1903s are admired for their accuracy and their smooth Mauser-style action. A Mark I from 1920 sits near the end of the early production run, and those who study the design enjoy examining the details. Look over the photos for the receiver markings and the barrel date.

If you plan to shoot it, check the headspace and bore. Check the scope mount, and use ammunition at standard pressures. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
