Standard Issue is the name Springfield Armory gives this M1A, and it follows the plain military profile. The rifle is a semi-automatic chambered in .308 Winchester, with a 22 inch barrel, a 10 round magazine, and a black finish.

The M1A grew out of the M14 service rifle, and this version keeps the long barrel and the full stock that suit a steady, deliberate shooter. It is current production of a military pattern, and its sights are the same style soldiers once used.

Use it for deer at distance, for service-rifle style matches, or just for the feel of a classic battle rifle. Expect a hefty gun that rewards a firm hold and a good sling. Plan a first range trip with a few different loads so you learn where it prints.

Sold new. Shipping goes to the FFL dealer you name, and the background check is finished there. If a detail matters to your decision, send a question first and compare the answer with the photos. Give the photos a slow look at full size; they show finish and wear better than any paragraph can.
