Built for New York buyers, this Loaded M1A comes configured to meet that state's rules. The listing marks it NY compliant. It is new from Springfield Armory, in .308 Winchester or 7.62mm NATO, with a 22 inch barrel and a 10 round capacity. The finish is black, the frame material is synthetic, the receiver is steel, and the weight is about 9.3 pounds.

The Loaded model gives shooters features without match-shop prices. The maker lists a medium-weight, premium air-gauged National Match barrel among them. The design follows the classic M14 pattern. Buying from a dealer near you makes the handover easy, since you can handle the rifle and ask questions before you sign.

State rules differ, and an NY compliant configuration is a way of letting buyers in the state own a rifle of this type. Because the final compliance depends on your dealer and your location, ask the dealer to confirm before the transfer.

Hunters in New York can use a .308 on deer where the law allows semi-automatics. Competitors may like the accuracy built into the barrel.

It ships to a licensed dealer you choose, and the background check is completed there.
