This is a new Springfield M1A in .308 Winchester with a 22-inch barrel and a 10-round magazine. The title carries a QP only note, so read the product page and ask your dealer if you have questions.

The M1A is a civilian semi-automatic rifle based on the M14 service rifle's layout. It has a steel receiver, a two-stage trigger, and an aperture rear sight that adjusts for windage and elevation. The 22-inch barrel is the classic length, and it adds velocity for deer-sized game and long-range target work.

Few rifles have the same profile. The lines are traditional, the weight feels solid, and the sights let you shoot accurately without any electronics. Many owners keep the rifle in its standard form, while others fit an optic or a different stock. Springfield supports both approaches with a wide range of accessories.

Break in the rifle with a few boxes of quality ammunition. Keep the gas system clean and lightly oiled, and check the screws and mounts after the first outing. It is a new, current-production rifle. It ships to your local FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
