SPRINGFIELD ARMORY M1 Garand WW2 1945

Serial number 3458662 puts this Springfield Armory M1 Garand in the closing months of World War II. The seller offers it as a rifle that may have served in the last theaters of the war, and may also have seen use in Korea.

It is a semi-automatic in .30-06 Springfield with a 24 inch barrel, an eight round capacity, and a black finish on a wood stock. General Patton called the Garand the greatest battle implement ever devised, and the quote is repeated by the seller. It was the first semi-automatic rifle issued as a standard infantry arm.

Look for matching parts, a good bore, and a stock that has not been cut. The eight round en bloc clip ejects with a ping when empty, which is part of the rifle's charm. Priced as a collector rifle, it is also a fine shooter.

Because this is a pre-owned rifle, it is sold as described. Compare the photos with the notes, ask if anything is unclear, and then have it sent to your local FFL dealer, who completes the paperwork and background check.
