Smooth shooting is how the seller sums up this old Remington. It is a U.S. Model 1903 Springfield made by Remington, sporterized years ago for hunting. The bolt action is chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a 24 inch barrel, a five round capacity, and a black and wood finish.
A sling is included. The 1903 action is strong and built around a refined Mauser-style design that the Army adopted before the First World War. Sporterized rifles have lost their original stocks and sights, but many are good field guns, and the cartridge handles deer and elk.
A hunter will want to check the bore, the safety, and the stock bedding. Collectors may prefer a rifle that has not been altered, so look at the photos to see what remains original. Sold as a user rifle, it still carries a lot of the old Springfield character.
One used rifle, sold as described. When you order, pick the FFL dealer who will receive it. The background check happens at their counter, not before. Check local transfer and ownership rules in your state before you place the order.
