REMINGTON 1903 03-A3 WW2 1943

Serial number 4092869 and a Remington barrel stamped R.A. 9-43 beneath the flaming bomb: these are the details behind this 03-A3. The seller describes it as an exceptionally well-preserved World War II rifle and a premier piece of American military history, with its original matching barrel. It is used, in .30-06 Springfield, with a 24 inch barrel, a five round magazine and a black finish with a wood stock.

The 03-A3 was Remington's wartime update of the Springfield 1903, with stamped parts and a rear aperture sight. It filled the gap while the Garand was built in sufficient numbers. Rifles with the original barrel are of more interest to collectors, as many were rebarreled at arsenals.

The flaming bomb is the ordnance mark, and the date in the barrel stamp reads September 1943. That is something you can verify with your own eyes when the rifle arrives.

A rifle in this state is a keeper, and also one that you can take out. The .30-06 cartridge is easy to find and capable.

It is sold as described. It ships to a licensed dealer you choose, and the background check is completed there.
