Chinese factories built the SKS in huge numbers, and this Norinco example is one of them. It carries serial number 1634561 and a matte black finish. It is a used, semi-automatic rifle in 7.62x39mm Russian with a 20 inch barrel and a ten round capacity. No case is included.

The SKS is gas-operated and loaded from a stripper clip into a fixed box magazine. It is an easy rifle to learn: simple controls, mild recoil, and a flip-up bayonet if you want the full military look. Steel-cased 7.62x39 ammunition is common and, while prices change, remains one of the cheaper centerfire rounds to shoot. Buying from a dealer near you makes the handover easy, since you can handle the rifle and ask questions before you sign.

At this price it sits in the working end of the surplus market, where function counts more than finish. It suits a first military rifle or a ranch truck gun for pests and plinking. Check the bore, the bolt and the gas piston when it arrives and clean it well.

This firearm is sold as described. It ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check takes place there.
