MOSIN-NAGANT M39

Finland took the old Russian Mosin-Nagant and made it better, and the M39 is the best known result. This used rifle carries the Finnish SA property mark and a 1942 barrel date. It is chambered in 7.62x54R, with a 30-inch barrel and a five-round magazine.

The seller calls it good surplus condition. The wood stock has a warm military finish with dents, dings, scratches, and signs of arsenal repair. The metal shows patina and finish wear, but the markings stay clear. The seller notes a full-length stock with a semi-pistol grip, an adjustable rear sight, a protected front sight, and a cleaning rod. The overall length is about 46 inches.

Finnish Mosins attract collectors because of the history behind them. Finnish troops fought with these rifles in the Winter War and the Continuation War, and many were rebuilt using captured parts. The SA mark shows that the rifle belonged to the Finnish military, and that matters when you value it.

Check the bore and bolt before shooting. Use ammunition rated for the cartridge, and clean the bore after each session. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your local FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
