Izhevsk was one of the major Soviet arsenals for the Mosin-Nagant, and this rifle carries its marks. The seller calls it a 1925 Izhevsk M91/30, and the seller says the rifle is in very good condition. It is chambered in 7.62x54R, with a 28-inch barrel and a five-round magazine.
There is one small shortcoming. The seller notes that the cleaning rod is missing. Replacement rods are inexpensive and easy to find, so it is a minor issue, but it does affect completeness if you collect fully equipped examples. The finish is described as wood and steel.
A date like 1925 raises a question that collectors like to answer. The 91/30 pattern was adopted in 1930, so earlier dates may refer to the receiver's original manufacture on an older design that arsenals updated. Look at the photos and the markings, and ask the seller if you want the full story.
A Mosin in very good condition is a pleasure to shoot. The recoil is firm, the sights are basic, and the rifle is accurate with decent ammunition. Check the bore and the bolt when it arrives, and clean away any old grease. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
