Yugoslavia's M48 was a postwar Mauser, and this used one comes from Mitchell's Mausers. It is a bolt action chambered in 8mm, with a 23 inch blued barrel and a five round capacity.

Because the notes are brief, rely on the photos for condition. The M48 is a short-action 98-style rifle built in Yugoslavia, and it is known for rugged construction and good accuracy. It is a user rifle for anyone who wants a reliable, plain bolt gun.

Check the bore, the bolt, and the markings. A matching-number rifle is better than one with mixed parts, but at this price it is a fair buy either way. Ammunition is easy to find.

Condition is as stated in the description, and the rifle is sold as described. It ships to your chosen FFL dealer, where the transfer and background check take place. Buy it for the job you have in mind, and keep a cleaning kit and a few boxes of ammunition ready for the first outing. Check local transfer and ownership rules in your state before you place the order.
