Camouflage on a Mauser is a surprise, and that is the first thing you notice about this Zastava M48. It has a Mossy Oak finish, a bolt action in 8mm, and a 24-inch barrel. The serial number is A3856, and the importer is not visible in the marks.

The M48 is a postwar Yugoslav rifle built on the proven Mauser pattern. The camouflage finish suggests that a previous owner dressed it for hunting. That makes it a practical rifle for people who want an 8mm for the woods and do not mind a non-original look. It also makes it a bargain compared with a pristine military example.

The Mauser action is strong, with controlled-round feed, and it handles standard 8mm loads well. Ammunition is available in several bullet weights, from surplus to hunting loads. A decent scope mount and a set of rings can turn this rifle into a good deer gun.

Check the photos for the condition of the finish, stock, and bore. Test the bolt and the safety when it arrives. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
