A Leupold M8 4x scope and a one-piece Leupold mount ride on this sporterized Mauser 98. The rifle is a bolt action chambered in .270 Winchester, with a 25 inch barrel and a four round capacity.

The seller notes that local sales take priority. The .270 is a flat-shooting deer round, and a Mauser 98 action is one of the most trusted designs for a custom hunting rifle. Sporterizing a surplus K98 was a common project after the war, and a good one turns out lighter than most military rifles.

Inspect the bore, check the scope mounting, and test the safety. Because the original military chambering has been changed, make sure the barrel was installed correctly. This rifle should suit anyone hunting whitetail from a stand.

Sold as described, with the wear and condition stated above. Nothing is dressed up. Choose an FFL dealer near you at checkout; we ship the rifle there and your dealer runs the background check at transfer. Give the photos a slow look at full size; they show finish and wear better than any paragraph can.
