Somewhere between a surplus rifle and a built-to-order sporter sits this custom Mauser Jager. It is a bolt action chambered in .270 Winchester, with a 24 inch barrel and a five round capacity. The finish is black metal set in a wood stock, and the seller describes a Monte Carlo style walnut stock.

The .270 is a classic deer and pronghorn cartridge with a flat trajectory, and the Mauser action it is built on has been trusted for well over a century. Controlled round feed and a strong claw extractor are the traits hunters like about it. A rifle like this was assembled for one purpose, and that purpose was the field.

Because it is a custom piece, the best check is to run the bolt several times, look at the crown and bore, and see how the stock fits at the shoulder.

Sold as described, with the wear and condition stated above. Nothing is dressed up. Choose an FFL dealer near you at checkout; we ship the rifle there and your dealer runs the background check at transfer.
