MAUSER 66

A telescoping bolt makes the Mauser 66 unlike most bolt-action hunting rifles. The design, introduced in 1966, shortens the receiver and speeds up cycling. This used example is chambered in .30-06 Springfield, with a 24 inch barrel, a three round capacity, and a black finish on a wood stock.

The seller calls it well suited for a wide range of North American game, and notes the rifle is somewhat sought after by collectors. Listed weight is 8.8. The .30-06 has the loads for anything from whitetail to elk.

An unusual action means you should look at the bolt closely and cycle it several times. Check the bore and the stock fit. If you want a hunting rifle that is not the same as everyone else's, a Mauser 66 is worth a look.

Used and sold as described. Have an FFL dealer lined up before you check out; the rifle goes to them, and the background check is run when you collect it. Give the photos a slow look at full size; they show finish and wear better than any paragraph can.
