Zastava built the M48A in Yugoslavia, and the seller calls it a piece of history that is also a reliable companion for any shooter. It is a bolt action in 8mm Mauser with a 24 inch barrel, a five round capacity, and a blued finish.

The M48A is a postwar adaptation of the Mauser 98 action, with changes made at the Yugoslav factory. The seller says it was manufactured between 1952 and 1965. That puts it in the middle of the Cold War years.

Examine the markings, the bolt, and the bore. A rifle built from a long-proven design will often shoot well. Ammunition is available, and the price is moderate for a collector who likes European military rifles. Plan a first range trip with a few different loads so you learn where it prints.

Sold as described, with the wear and condition stated above. Nothing is dressed up. Choose an FFL dealer near you at checkout; we ship the rifle there and your dealer runs the background check at transfer.
