LOEWE BERLIN MODEL 1895 CHILEAN

The Chilean Model 1895 is a Mauser that crossed the Pacific. Built in Berlin by Ludwig Loewe, it is a bolt action chambered in 7x57mm Mauser. It has a 21 inch barrel and a five round capacity, with wood and steel.

The seller describes it simply as a Model 1895 Chilean Mauser. Loewe made many Mauser rifles for export before the company changed names. Collectors look for crisp markings, an unaltered stock, and a clear Chilean crest on the receiver ring, so read the photos for those.

The 7x57 cartridge is a well-liked hunting round, and a sound 1895 can still take deer. Ammunition is available from several makers. Check the bore for pitting and the bolt for smooth, tight operation, and remember that the action is a rugged one.

The rifle is offered as described and as pictured. Delivery goes to the FFL dealer you name, and you finish the background check with that dealer before taking it home. Ask us about fit, wear or what comes with it before you order. Give it a careful look when it arrives at your dealer before you sign the transfer.
