Matching numbers are what makes this Izhevsk Mosin Nagant stand out. The seller states that the barrel, stock, magazine and bolt all match, and the rifle comes with a sling and a cleaning rod. It is used, chambered in 7.62x54mmR, has a 28.75 inch barrel and a five round magazine. The finish is black with a wood stock.

The Mosin is the great Russian bolt-action rifle, issued through several wars and made by Izhevsk and Tula among others. The long barrel and the heavy bullet give it great carrying power, and the rifle is sturdy enough that many have survived rough treatment.

The seller says the pictures show a rifle in fantastic shape. Ask your dealer to check the bore and the markings when it arrives and compare them with the photos. A clean example with the sling and the cleaning rod is a nice basis for a collection.

The Mosin has a heavy trigger and a stiff bolt when new. That eases with use and oil.

It is sold as described and ships to a licensed dealer of your choice. The background check is done there.
