Imperial Russian marks and a Finnish capture stamp make this Mosin worth a second look. The seller describes an Izhevsk M91 Dragoon made in 1916, with a pre-1928 factory logo and a WWI factory crest. It is a bolt action in 7.62x54mmR with a 28 inch barrel and a three round capacity.

Dragoon rifles were shorter than the infantry model, designed for mounted troops. Finland captured many Russian rifles in its wars and re-used them, and the capture stamp suggests this rifle was one of them. That history is the reason to buy.

Check the stock for cracks near the action and the bore for pitting. Surplus 7.62x54R ammunition is affordable and the cartridge is powerful, so shooting the rifle is a pleasure. Use the photos to confirm the marks the seller describes before you decide.

This rifle is used and sold as described, so read the details and look over every photo before you order. It ships to a licensed dealer (FFL) of your choice, and the background check is done there when you pick it up.
