Inland Manufacturing ILM140 M1 1944 M1 Carbine w/ Type 2 Barrel Band, 18" Barrel

Type 2 barrel band is a detail collectors notice, and this Inland Manufacturing ILM140 has it. The listing calls it a 1944 M1 Carbine with an 18 inch barrel, and it is a new rifle in .30 Carbine.

Inland Manufacturing's current rifles follow the pattern of the carbines built in World War II, down to such features as barrel bands and sights. Choosing a 1944 configuration places the rifle in the middle of the war, when the design had been refined from the earliest production. Take it out to the bench before you rely on it: cycle the action a dozen times, dry fire it, and look down the bore with a bright light.

A new rifle gives a buyer the chance to own an M1 Carbine without chasing parts or fighting rust. The barrel is fresh, the finish is crisp and the action is tight. That makes it a good shooter for plinking, for pests and for reenactment events.

The .30 Carbine is gentle to shoot and a pleasure for beginners. Keep a light coat of oil on the rifle, and it should serve well.

It ships to a licensed dealer you choose, and the background check takes place there.
