Sweden kept its Mausers in service for decades, and Husqvarna was one of the national makers. This M38 is a bolt action chambered in 6.5x55mm Swedish, with a 24 inch barrel and a blued finish. Serial number 649758 is noted, and no case is included.

The M38 is a short rifle in the Swedish Mauser family, handy to carry and gentle to shoot. The 6.5x55 cartridge has a long record in Europe for accuracy and light recoil, and it is a fine deer round. Many Scandinavian hunters still use it.

Inspect the bore and the Husqvarna crown marking, and look at the stock for cracks near the tang. A good pick for a collector or hunter who wants a milder rifle.

One used rifle, sold as described. When you order, pick the FFL dealer who will receive it. The background check happens at their counter, not before. Ask us about fit, wear or what comes with it before you order. Keep a light coat of oil on the metal and store it somewhere dry. Fit matters, so shoulder it at the dealer and check that it comes up naturally.
