Not every mark was ground off this Yugoslavian K98k. The seller says it is very nice for its age and still shows symbols that were not scrubbed. It is a bolt action chambered in 8mm Mauser, with a 24.5 inch barrel, a five round capacity, and a blue steel finish.
Yugoslavia reworked many German K98k rifles after the war, replacing parts and stamping new marks. Collectors enjoy reading the layers of history in those stamps, from German eagles to Yugoslav arsenal numbers.
Look at the photos and compare the numbers on the receiver, bolt, and barrel. Check the bore and the stock for repairs. 8mm Mauser ammunition is made by several makers, so the rifle is fun to shoot as well as collect. Take your time on the first few cycles of the action and learn how it feels in your hands.
The rifle is offered as described and as pictured. Delivery goes to the FFL dealer you name, and you finish the background check with that dealer before taking it home. Give the photos a slow look at full size; they show finish and wear better than any paragraph can.
