Seller notes call this Mauser very good, and they spell out the reasons. It shows some light wear for its age, with minor handling marks and finish wear, but the wood stock is solid with a nice appearance and no major cracks or damage. The metal finish is well preserved. The bolt cycles smoothly and the rifle functions properly.

It is a used bolt-action rifle in 8mm Mauser with a 30-inch barrel and a five-round magazine, finished in blue. The bore and rifling are described as in good condition with strong visible grooves. Those details point to a rifle that has been kept dry and cared for.

The K98b designation refers to a German service rifle on the Gewehr 98 pattern. Collectors like these rifles for their history, and shooters like them because the action is strong and the sights are simple. Surplus ammunition for the 8mm Mauser comes and goes, but modern loads are also available.

A rifle like this deserves a careful look when it arrives. Compare the numbers on the receiver, bolt, and barrel. Check the stock and the sights. Test the safety and trigger before you load it. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
