FN built the 15 SRP G2 for law enforcement, and this one has come back through a surplus package. It is a direct impingement AR-pattern rifle in 5.56x45mm NATO with a 16-inch barrel, a black finish, and a flash hider on the muzzle. The stated thread pattern is 1/2x28.
The seller notes a pinned and welded 14.5-inch barrel, which is how the length reaches the 16-inch figure with the muzzle device. FN uses a chrome-lined barrel, which resists wear and keeps accuracy over a long service life. The handguard is extended for more rail space, with M-LOK slots and quick-detach points, and the rifle ships with Magpul MBUS back-up sights. One 30-round magazine is included.
The weight is around 6.25 pounds, which makes it light enough for long carry. A flat top rail with a 1913 Picatinny mount lets you add an optic of your choice.
Surplus from an agency means the rifle has seen duty handling, so check the finish, the bolt, and the muzzle device when you get it. Look at the magazine and the rail for wear. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
