ENFIELD No. 4 MK 1

Some Enfields spent decades in unusual places. This No. 4 Mk 1 is one of the rifles found in France, according to the seller, who points to a story about French Enfields and the Navy Arms import. The rifle is marked as made in 1944, and the seller says it has seen very little use and is in very nice condition.

It is a .303 British bolt action with a 24-inch barrel and a black and wood finish. The seller mentions some bumps and dents that show in the photos. It comes with one magazine and a spike bayonet. A stock magazine holds ten, so confirm what is included.

The No. 4 was the standard rifle for British forces for much of the century. Its rear aperture sight, smooth bolt, and fast handling made it a favorite. A rifle that stayed in storage for years often keeps better wood and metal than one that was passed around.

Look at the receiver markings and the arsenal stamps in the photos. If you plan to shoot it, check the headspace and bore. Use ammunition made for the .303 British. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
