Collectors often name the Argentine Model 1909 among the finest military Mausers ever built. The machining is clean, the walnut is good, and the action runs smoothly. This used example is marked Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, made in Berlin for Argentina before the First World War, and it still has the Argentine crest intact.
It is a bolt-action rifle in 7.65x53mm Argentine, with a 29-inch barrel and a five-round magazine. The finish is oiled wood over steel. It comes with a bayonet and a leather sling, which adds to the appeal. A complete package like this is easier to display and enjoy.
Argentine crests matter because many rifles lost them over time. When the crest is clear, you can tell where the rifle came from and who used it. Look over the photos to check the markings on the receiver ring, the bolt, and the stock.
If you want to shoot it, check the bore and the headspace. The cartridge is closely related to the round used in the 1891, and loaded ammunition is made today in small quantities. It is sold as described, in used condition. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
