Brazil rechambered its Mausers for the U.S. .30-06 cartridge, and this 08/34 carries that conversion. The seller calls it a Brazilian military surplus Mauser in nice condition. It is a bolt action with a 25 inch barrel, a three round capacity, and a matte black finish.

The Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos name appears on the markings. A rifle that shoots a widely sold American round is easy to feed, and hunting loads are cheap compared with most military calibers. The Mauser action is strong and smooth.

Inspect the bore, the bolt, and the stock. Brazilian rifles often have a mix of German and local markings. This one suits a collector or a hunter looking for a durable rifle.
