A big-bore Mauser built for dangerous game, this Charles Daly Superior is chambered in .458 Winchester Magnum. It is a bolt action with a 24 inch barrel, a three round capacity, and a blued finish.

The seller points out a super-strong Mauser action with a claw extractor, which was the traditional choice for big-game rifles. The rifle is factory drilled and tapped for a scope. It has been owned and shot at the factory.

A .458 kicks hard, so shooters should be ready. It suits those who want an Africa-style rifle for large game, or for a collector. Check the stock and bedding for cracks and keep ear protection handy.

One used rifle, sold as described. When you order, pick the FFL dealer who will receive it. The background check happens at their counter, not before. Give the photos a slow look at full size; they show finish and wear better than any paragraph can. Buy it for the job you have in mind, and keep a cleaning kit and a few boxes of ammunition ready for the first outing.
