Short, light, and historic, the Italian Carcano Moschetto is a carbine version of the Italian service rifle. This used example is made by Beretta and chambered in 6.5x52 Carcano, with a 17-inch barrel and a black blued finish. The seller notes that the rifle uses an en bloc clip that holds six rounds.

The condition report is straightforward. The seller describes overall surplus condition with visible finish wear and patina, handling marks, and wood dents and scratches typical of service and storage. The metal shows wear consistent with age. The seller advises you to review the photos for full cosmetic detail.

Only the rifle is included. There is no ammunition and no accessories, unless stated otherwise. The seller adds that it is sold as is due to its age, and the buyer is responsible for a safe inspection and for verifying function and chambering before use. That is sensible advice with any old surplus rifle.

Carcanos are popular because they cost little and carry a lot of history. The 6.5mm cartridge is mild, and the compact carbine is easy to handle. Ammunition is available, though you may need to shop around. It ships to your local FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
