The folding stock is the point of the Paratrooper, which was made to ride on a jumper's chest or be tucked into a pack. This Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine Paratrooper is a new semi-automatic rifle in .30 Carbine with an 18 inch barrel and a 15+1 capacity. It has a Parkerized steel receiver and the length is 35.7 inches.

The metal stock folds to one side. The wooden furniture gives the rifle a handsome contrast, and a flip-style rear sight and blade front sight complete the tidy layout. The short, light design is why the M1 Carbine remains popular with owners of all sizes.

It is easy to shoot, with light recoil and a mild report. The .30 Carbine round is fine for plinking and for pests at close range. If you like historical designs, the folding stock makes the Paratrooper an interesting choice.

Keep the folding mechanism clean and check that it locks securely before you shoot. A little oil on the pivot goes a long way.

The rifle ships to a licensed dealer you choose, and the background check is done there.
