Eighty years after the Marines landed on Iwo Jima, Auto-Ordnance has marked the occasion with a special M1 Carbine. It is a new rifle in .30 Carbine with a walnut stock and a 15-round magazine. The design follows the carbine that served in the Pacific and later wars.

This is a current-production rifle, and the commemorative marks set it apart from the standard model. Look at the product photos to see the engraving and stock details. Collectors who like to track anniversary editions will want to keep the paperwork and the box in good order.

The M1 Carbine was made to be light and easy to handle. The .30 Carbine cartridge has mild recoil, and the rifle points naturally. It works well as a range rifle for shooters of any size, and it can take small game or hogs at short range.

Auto-Ordnance builds the carbine in the military pattern with parts that are close to the original design, but it is a modern gun. You can use it without worrying about harming a historic artifact. Break it in with a few boxes of standard ammunition. The rifle ships to your local FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
