Life as an Arisaka is still visible on this rifle, since the chrysanthemum emblem sits on top of the receiver. The stock and barrel were modernized after production, and the rifle now looks more like a Remington or Winchester than the original design. It is chambered in .300 Savage.

The seller says there are no visible import marks, so it was likely an early bring-back or trophy from the Pacific. It is a bolt action with a 22 inch barrel and a four round capacity, with a blue finish.

A rebuilt Arisaka is a conversation piece and a decent hunter. Have a gunsmith check the headspace for the .300 Savage cartridge. The lack of import marks is a detail some collectors find interesting.
